What is NIL?

NIL stands for Name Image and Likeness – In short, a personal brand tied to the person, not an organization or team that the person
belongs to.

What is an NIL deal for an athlete?

An NIL deal allows athletes to profit off of their name, image, and likeness. An NIL agreement is essentially a contract set in place for
the athlete to earn fair compensation for their time and effort. An NIL agreement could also be an endorsement deal on a local or
national level, an appearance, social media posting or advertisement appearance … and more.
Why is NIL all of a sudden in the news for college athletes?
As of July 2021, the NCAA removed the ban of athletes not being allowed to make money while enrolled in college as a
student-athlete. Prior to the legalization of NIL opportunities for student-athletes, fans and businesses could not pay players for any
work of any scope. Now, players can work in various scopes and be paid adequately for their time, influence and likeness.
How do I get involved – even if I do not know where to start?
As a full service management group, we not only assist our athletes with everything NIL from top to bottom, but we are also happy to
assist you in customizing a plan of attack that puts you and your business in the right place in the market to improve your brand
awareness, gives you the best ROI possible – all while supporting your local athletes and community. It is a win-win for all involved.

What is the budget for an NIL deal?

Each collaboration is customized for each business/athlete combo and partnerships can be created to fit any range of budget.
What do I get out of this deal?
Many of our deals include but are not limited to Social Media Posts, Print Ads, and Appearances – but the best part of this new role
for our athletes is each partnership is a fresh slate to dream up and execute any kind of campaign or collab that best fits all parties ..
and we are excited to help you make those dreams come true.
Who can I work with?

What are some examples of these deals?

Jacob Warren (University of Tennessee Football) and Craven Wings

Jacob has done multiple in-store appearances, social media posts, and video ads. He has even been given his own signature “87
sauce” that creates a relationship with the brand even when he is not in store.

Evan Russell (University of Tennessee Baseball Alum) and Weigel’s

Evan partnered with Weigel’s during his senior season. He was able to be a part of a number of promotions and online ads. His“Ringer for a Dinger” promotion was one of our favorites. Every time Evan hit a home run, all Weigel’s Rewards Members would get a free donut. (Evan also partnered with local cookie company Whimsy Cookie Co., where they gave a free cookie to every customer after an Evan homer.) These types of collaborations are fun for the fan and create a loyalty to the brand.

John Fulkerson (University of Tennessee Basketball Alum) and Family Tree Candle Company

John partnered with Family Tree and launched a custom line of Fulky inspired scents with a label designed for an autograph. This is
a fun example of a partnership that may not seem “likely” but brings different target markets together around the love of sport.
