Zakai Zeigler

Meet Zakai Zeigler.
Zakai is a freshman standout from Long Island, New York … and Knoxville’s darling on and off the court.
Tennessee Basketball is no stranger to top talent from the New York City area, including Naismith Hall of Famer Bernard King , Ernie Grunfeld, Howard Wood, Tobias Harris and Kevin Punter Jr. – and now Zakai is added to that esteemed list of Tennessee greats.
Zakai graduated from Our Saviour Lutheran School in The Bronx, but he played the 2020-21 season with Immaculate Conception High School in Montclair, New Jersey, averaging 20 points and 4.6 assists per game. He played his AAU ball with the New York Lightning program in the EYBL and played football growing up – playing running back, quarterback and safety.
He had a breakout showing in six games at the 2021 Peach Jam, averaging 15.3 points and 5.5 assists per game while boasting a 4.7 assist-to-turnover ratio; he also connected on 50 percent of his 3-point attempts. The Season Ticket named Zeigler’s showing against Team Final as the “Best Performance” of the 2021 Peach Jam.
Zakai was awarded the JoNelda & Sidney Blalock Athletic Scholarship Endowment.
Highlights so far at UT include:
- Making his first career start, scored 11 points and a had a team-high four assists in 27 minutes at Alabama (12/29).
- Exploded for a career-high and team-leading 18 points on 7-for-10 shooting—including 3-for-5 from 3-point range—in the win over North Carolina (11/21/21). Also had five assists and did not commit a turnover in 28 minutes of action.
- 2022 SEC All-Defensive Team.
- 2022 SEC All-Freshman Team.

Kenzie Couch
University of Tennessee, Cheer
Kenzie is a third year member of the back-to-back National Champion University of Tennessee cheer team.Kenzie had the opportunity to make history her freshman year by being part of the team that brought home Tennessee’s first ever UCA Game Day National Championship title! Her second year Tennessee cheer went on to defend their title and win back-to-back national championships.
She is studying public relations, and when she isn’t on the field or on the court cheering for Tennessee, she is hard at work preparing for College Cheerleading Nationals.
Kenzie is passionate about content creation, photography, family, God — and of course, Tennessee!
Kenzie traveled to cheer at the 2019 Taxslayer Bowl in Jacksonville, Florida and the 2021 Music City Bowl in Nashville, TN. She has traveled to and cheered at away football games at Florida, Alabama, and Kentucky – but Neyland is her favorite, BY FAR!!

Dayne davis
University of Tennessee, Football
Dayne plays football for the University of Tennessee, and his story is what movies are made of. When he came to Knoxville, he was a preferred walk-on from Sullivan East High School in Bluff CIty, TN. He grew up dreaming of running through that T and was willing to make it happen anyway possible.
Although he was beyond grateful and thankful for the opportunity to be on the team, he wasn’t stopping there. He put his nose to the grind, continued to make significant strides and is now part of the rotation while also contributing on special teams. Dayne earned a starting position for his first start in the Alabama game playing 57 snaps at right tackle without committing a penalty or allowing a pressure.
Dayne earned a scholarship in December 2020 and then made an immediate impact on the staff with his outstanding play and work ethic in the spring of 2021. He is the first Power Five scholarship football player from Sullivan East.
In 2021, Dayne was selected as a finalist for the Burlsworth Trophy. The Burlsworth Trophy is named in honor of former Arkansas walk-on and All-American offensive lineman Brandon Burlsworth. The award is given annually to the most outstanding football player in America who began his career as a walk-on and has shown outstanding performance on the field.
He is the son of Michael and Venessa Davis and is majoring in Supply Chain Management with a collateral in Business Analytics . He was First Team All-Northeast Conference in high school and named to the 2020 SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll while at Tennessee.

Meet Squirrel White.
Coming to Knoxville from Birmingham, Alabama — Squirrel is a multi-sport athlete with electrifying speed at wide receiver. He was rated a four-star prospect and the No. 7 overall player in Alabama by On3.com and a three-star prospect by 247Sports.com, Rivals.com and ESPN.com.
Squirrel compiled 1,162 receiving yards on 49 catches and scored 17 total touchdowns, including 16 receiving as a senior and earned first-team All-South Metro honors in 2021, while leading his team to a 2021 Alabama High School Athletic Association 6A state football championship!!

Jake Fitzgibbons

Introducing Jake Fitzgibbons.
A member of the world class pitching staff for the #1 ranked University of Tennessee Vols baseball team.
Jake played high school baseball at Mount Juliet High School in Mount Juliet, Tennessee and played club ball for Knights Baseball Platinum.
Some high school awards and honors include:
* Perfect Game No. 19 ranked player in Tennessee
* Perfect Game No. 79 ranked LHP in the nation
* 2020 Perfect Game Preseason All-America and All-Southeast Region selection

In his freshman campaign at Tennessee, Jake made seven appearances and three starts as a true freshman. He started and threw one shutout inning vs. Eastern Kentucky,
Earned his first collegiate victory after throwing 3.1 shutout innings with a career-high four strikeouts in win over Western Carolina and made his first-career start in midweek game vs. Eastern Kentucky – allowing only one run in two inning. Jake made his collegiate debut in road game at Austin Peay.
As a sophomore at UT, he pitched a season high three innings and recorded four strikeouts in win over James Madison, recorded two strikeouts in one inning of relief against UNC Asheville and made his season debut in win against Georgia Southern – pitching a scoreless inning in relief. During this seasons he was a member of the 2022 SEC Regular Season and Tournament Champions.
Jake is not only a standout ON the field, but he also excels in the classroom which is evident from being named to the 2020-21 SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll.
Jake is majoring in Recreation and Sport Management at the University of Tennessee. He is the son of Scott and Mary Fitzgibbons, has one younger brother, Kyle – and enjoys duck hunting and golf when he isn’t playing ball.

Tess darby

Meet Tess Darby.
She is a native of Greenfield, Tennessee where she attended Greenfield High School. During her time there she was nothing short of amazing on and off the court. She led her team to an impressive 131-20 record over her 4 years and the 2018 TSSAA State Championship. In the midst of this incredible run Tess was selected to 4 All-State teams, she was McDonald’s All-American Nominee, and was named of the top 100 recruits in the Nation for the 2020 class. Off the court she was recognized as a Tennessee Scholar, a Girls State Representative, and graduated top 10 in her class.
Tess was Coach Kellie Harper’s first High-School signee. She was able to contribute in a big way early in her career on Rocky Top. During her sophomore campaign she started 30 games for the Lady Vols. Her ability to space the floor and knock down 3 point shots at a high rate was a huge help to her team as they made a run to the Sweet 16. Tess was also selected to the 20-21 SEC Academic Honor Roll.
We cannot wait to see Tess back on the Hardwood this fall!

Introducing Tyreke Key
A Clay County Native who is no stranger to success on and off the court. During his high school career Tyreke scored over 3,000 points which put him firmly in the top 10 All Time for the state of Tennessee. He led his team all the way to the TSSAA State Title game where he was named MVP. He also received numerous awards including being named Tennessee’s Mr. Basketball in 2017. Tyreke did this all while averaging a state record 37.4 points per game. He initially signed with Indiana State where he was a 4 time All-Conference Selection and currently ranks sixth all time in scoring for the Sycamores.
Off the court Tyreke is just as accomplished. He completed an Undergraduate Degree in Recreation and Sport Management in 2021. Then in 2022 he received a Masters Degree in Sport Management and is working on another Masters in Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communication.
We are beyond excited to see Tyreke on the hardwood this fall!

Ethan Davis

Introducing Ethan Davis.
Meet Ethan Davis. An Atlanta native who was a two sport standout in highschool at Collins Hill High School. Davis helped lead one of the most talented high school teams in the country to a 15-1 record and Georgia 7A State Title in 2021. At the end of his prep career, Davis was widely regarded as a top 100 prospect in the Nation, He was named #4 player in the state of Georgia and one of the top Tight-ends in the class of 2023. He was also selected to play in the prestigious Polynesian Bowl in January along other future Volunteers. These accolades led to him racking up 37 college offers eventually landing Ethan on Rocky Top!

Gabe Jeudy-Lally

Introducing Gabe Jeudy.
Transferring to Rocky Top by way of BYU and Vanderbilt, Gabe Jeudy-Lally is expected to have an immediate positive impact on the Vols defense in the secondary. A standout at both of his previous collegiate stops, we are thrilled to have Gabe wearing the “right colors” the next time he plays in Neyland.

Cal Stark

Introducing Cal Stark.
A real hometown guy, Cal played high school ball at Farragut High School in Knoxville leading them to a state championship prior to playing at Navarro College and Weatherford College where he was the starting catcher at both stops and named All-Academic, All-Conference First Team and All-Region First Team.
Majoring in communication studies, Cal is the son of Leonard and Gretchen Stark and has two sisters, Adi and Madilyn Stark.

Christian Moore

Introducing Christian Moore.
An elite infielder who does some of his best work in the batter’s box for the Basevols. He is originally from Brooklyn, NewYork but attended high school at Suffield Academy in Connecticut. During his prep career Moore was touted as one the top 100 baseball players in the country while being named a Perfect Game All-American 4 times.
Moore found immediate success on Rocky Top by becoming a sensational 2 way player for the Number 1 team in the country as a freshman and helping lead his team to an SEC regular season and tournament title. Christian was not afraid of the big stage at all. He came up huge against Georgia Tech in the NCAA Tournament. He drove in 2 runs late in the ninth to help propel the Vols past the Yellow Jackets. We can’t wait to see Christian continue his success this season and keep hitting bombs into the river … but we are even more excited to welcome him to the Bridge Family.

Jeremiah "JJ" Crawford

Jeremiah “JJ” Crawford is a native of Goddard, Kansas who prior to coming to Knoxville spent the beginning of his college career playing at Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kansas. In his second season playing for the Grizzlies, he began to receive attention from a number of schools across the country. At the conclusion of his Junior College career, Crawford was one of the top Junior College players in the nation.
In Crawford’s first two years on Rocky Top, he has had some really incredible performances. Most notably a huge second half performance against Alabama in October in which JJ had one of the more viral moments in that game. (Do y’all remember his now famous intimidation factor?) This game helped solidify his role on the offensive line for the Volunteers – making multiple starts down the stretch. He made 7 of the final 8 starts on the way to an Orange Bowl victory. GBO!
He is the son of Kelly Crawford and is majoring in Communications Studies.

Matt Stillwell

Introducing Matt Stillwell
He was born in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in Sylva, North Carolina. He played baseball at Western Carolina University where he was an All Conference player on the Catamount’s Southern Conference Championship Baseball team. Baseball turned into music and he has since been traveling across the country heading his own shows and opening for most of today’s country superstars. Matt and his wife, Lindsey, live in Knoxville, TN with their two beautiful daughters, Carolina and Ruby.
Matt’s debut single “Shine” debuted at #25 on iTunes Country Chart, reached the TOP #50 on Billboard’s Country Charts. The accompanying music video reached #5 on CMT Pure while breaking into the Top 10 on GAC’s Top 20 Country Countdown. The album went on to produce another Top 50 Billboard single in “Sweet Sun Angel” and two more top videos on CMT Pure with “Dirt Road Dancing” and “Sweet Sun Angel”. The first single “Ignition” from his album “Right On Time” reached TOP #50 on the Billboard Hot Country Chart.
Stillwell’s most current release, “Hey Dad”, written as a tribute to his late father, has over 1,000,000 streams and over 30,000,000 collective views of the video. He recorded a new stripped down version of the song and released it to radio this year. “Hey Dad (2021)” just reached #37 on the Billboard Indicator Chart.
In 2019, Matt stripped everything down to just him and his guitar, and set out on his Hometown House Party Tour. This began as the marketing around his song, “Everybody’s Got A Hometown”, but when Covid19 shut the world down, it became his new way of touring. He had a trailer built that serves as his stage and merchandise booth. By the end of 2022, he will have played 200 shows since he began the Hometown House Party Tour.
Matt has worked with major brands like Budweiser, Ole Smoky Moonshine, Flinkin, Morton Buildings, and Hunt Brothers Pizza. He has been featured on CBS This Morning, Fox & Friends, and Diners, Drivins, and Dives. Matt is the ambassador for the Cal Ripken Sr Foundation’s “Badges For Baseball” program which places at risk youth with law enforcement. To date they have partnered with 14 MLB teams to host Badges For Baseball Clinics that Stillwell helps run. He incorporates his music by singing the National Anthem at the games and clinics. He plans to bring that program to College Baseball by integrating his Hometown House Party Tour with teams he’s connected to this fall.
