Meet John Fulkerson.
 
John is a fellow Tennessean from Kingsport, Tennessee. He has two younger sisters and one older brother that recently had a baby –  John is a very proud uncle.
 
He is currently playing in his sixth basketball season for the University of Tennessee. While at UT, he’s obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management, and is now currently set to graduate with his Master’s Degree in Agriculture, Education, Communications & Leadership in May 2022.
 
Some highlights of John’s playing career include:
 
  • A career high of 27 points in a comeback win against Kentucky.
  • Coaches Pre-Season All SEC 2021-2022.

  • 3x SEC Community Service Team.

  • Graduated with his masters Degree in May 2022. 
Since the NCAA announced a rule change of athlete’s ability to monetize on their Name, Image & Likeness, John has partnered with brands true to himself. Such brands include Pal’s Sudden Service, Mayfield Dairy Farms, Northwestern Mutual, Gambuzza’s Barbershop, even and has his own T-shirt line with  local Knoxville business, Nothing Too Fancy. In addition to these partnerships, John participates in many public appearances & speaking engagements in the region. Upon the beginning of his basketball season, he pledged to donate $1 of his NIL earnings for every point his team scores in the 2021-2022 season to the Tennessee Fund.

Meet Zakai Zeigler.

 

Zakai is a freshman standout from Long Island, New York … and Knoxville’s newest darling on and off the court.

Tennessee Basketball is no stranger to top talent from the New York City area, including Naismith Hall of Famer Bernard King , Ernie Grunfeld, Howard Wood, Tobias Harris and Kevin Punter Jr. – and now Zakai is added to that esteemed list of Tennessee greats.

Zakai graduated from Our Saviour Lutheran School in The Bronx, but he played the 2020-21 season with Immaculate Conception High School in Montclair, New Jersey, averaging 20 points and 4.6 assists per game. He played his AAU ball with the New York Lightning program in the EYBL and played football growing up – playing running back, quarterback and safety.

He had a breakout showing in six games at the 2021 Peach Jam, averaging 15.3 points and 5.5 assists per game while boasting a 4.7 assist-to-turnover ratio; he also connected on 50 percent of his 3-point attempts. The Season Ticket named Zeigler’s showing against Team Final as the “Best Performance” of the 2021 Peach Jam.

Zakai was awarded the JoNelda & Sidney Blalock Athletic Scholarship Endowment.

Highlights so far at UT include:

  • Making his first career start, scored 11 points and a had a team-high four assists in 27 minutes at Alabama (12/29).
  • Exploded for a career-high and team-leading 18 points on 7-for-10 shooting—including 3-for-5 from 3-point range—in the win over North Carolina (11/21/21). Also had five assists and did not commit a turnover in 28 minutes of action.
  • 2022 SEC All-Defensive Team.
  • 2022 SEC All-Freshman Team. 
  • Led the SEC in steals. 
  • Member of the 2022 SEC Tournament Championship Team.

Kenzie Couch

Meet Kenzie Couch.


Kenzie is a third year member of the back-to-back National Champion University of Tennessee cheer team.Kenzie had the opportunity to make history her freshman year by being part of the team that brought home Tennessee’s first ever UCA Game Day National Championship title! Her second year Tennessee cheer went on to defend their title and win back-to-back national championships.

She is studying public relations, and when she isn’t on the field or on the court cheering for Tennessee, she is hard at work preparing for College Cheerleading Nationals.


Kenzie is passionate about content creation, photography, family, God — and of course, Tennessee! 


Kenzie traveled to cheer at the 2019 Taxslayer Bowl in Jacksonville, Florida and the 2021 Music City Bowl in Nashville, TN.  She has traveled to and cheered at away football games at Florida, Alabama, and Kentucky – but Neyland is her favorite, BY FAR!!

Dayne davis

University of Tennessee, Football

Meet Dayne Davis.
 

Dayne plays football for the University of Tennessee, and his story is what movies are made of. When he came to Knoxville, he was a preferred walk-on from Sullivan East High School in Bluff CIty, TN. He grew up dreaming of running through that T and was willing to make it happen anyway possible.

Although he was beyond grateful and thankful for the opportunity to be on the team, he wasn’t stopping there. He put his nose to the grind, continued to make significant strides and is now part of the rotation while also contributing on special teams. Dayne earned a starting position for his first start in the Alabama game playing 57 snaps at right tackle without committing a penalty or allowing a pressure.

Dayne earned a scholarship in December 2020 and then made an immediate impact on the staff with his outstanding play and work ethic in the spring of 2021. He is the first Power Five scholarship football player from Sullivan East.

In 2021, Dayne was selected as a finalist for the Burlsworth Trophy. The Burlsworth Trophy is named in honor of former Arkansas walk-on and All-American offensive lineman Brandon Burlsworth. The award is given annually to the most outstanding football player in America who began his career as a walk-on and has shown outstanding performance on the field.

He is the son of Michael and Venessa Davis and is majoring in Supply Chain Management with a collateral in Business Analytics . He was First Team All-Northeast Conference in high school and named to the 2020 SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll while at Tennessee.

Evan is a Knoxville favorite on and off the baseball diamond – and as soon as we met him, we knew why. He is everything you would want your son to grow up and be.

Taylor is a first year member of the University of Tennessee Lady Vols Soccer Team and an absolute standout athlete on the field and in the classroom. She is special, for sure.

Taylor is the daughter of Zac and Amy Huff, is from Mansfield, OH and graduated from Madison Comprehensive High School at the top of her class with a 4.0 GPA. In addition to playing soccer and being named the United Soccer Coaches National Player of the Year and Scholar Player of the Year, she ran track and set a school and regional record in the 4×400 race. Taylor’s favorite scripture is Matthew 6:33.

Luke Bibee

Meet Luke Bibee. 

He’s freshman cheerleader at the University of Tennessee studying management and entrepreneurship at the Haslam College of Business. Luke is a student-athlete, but he’s also very involved in other campus organizations & has earned many outstanding awards … including:

Austin Lewis

Meet Austin Lewis. 

Out of high school, he was named a three-star recruit by 247Sports.com, lettered in football at David Crockett High School in Jonesborough, TN and received offers from Appalachian State, Cincinnati, Colorado State, FAU, Kansas State, Liberty, UMass, Memphis, Navy and UCF. He is the school record holder in career tackles (246) and tackles for loss (37), while adding 12 sacks. He was named a three-time Mountain East Conference All-Region honoree and ranked by Tennessee Gridiron Scouting as the No. 1 defensive end in East Tennessee.

While at Liberty University his Freshman, Sophomore and Junior seasons, he was tabbed an FIAA Freshman All-American and was the first player in program history to earn all-America honors at the FBS level. Austin was named VaSID Defensive Rookie of the Year and Second Team All Independent. Austin redshirted his Junior Spring season (due to Covid) at ETSU after playing a full season in the fall for Liberty.

Austin is on the road to recovery from an injury last season and is looking forward to contributing to another storied season for the Bucs after ETSU made it to the FCS quarterfinals for the second time in school history.

Austin is the son of Mike and Pam Lewis and has a son, Arlo.

Jacob Warren

University of Tennessee, Football


Meet Jacob Warren. 

Jacob is a Knoxville native, who graduated from Farragut High School. As a starter for the Tennessee football team, he is following in his father’s footsteps as his dad, James, played for the Vols in the early 1990s. Jacob has played in 28 games and made 11 starts during his career. He is an honor student in the classroom, who earned his undergraduate degree from Tennessee in May 2021.

He serves as a member of the team’s leadership council and is a three-time member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll.

Jacob grew up attending Tennessee games as a kid dreaming of playing in Neyland – and now we all have the honor to watch him fulfill those dreams on Saturdays in the Fall. He is the son of James and Heather Warren and has two brothers, Trey and Joshua.

Meet Claire Rain. 

Claire is a first year member of the University of Tennessee Women’s Soccer Team. This freshman phenom made a huge impact during the 2021 SEC Women’s Soccer Tournament helping lead the team to their first SEC Tournament Title since 2008!

Claire is the daughter of Bill and Maureen Rain and is from Tampa, Florida where she attended H.B. Plant High School. While enrolled, she was not only a standout on the soccer field … Claire also ran track, qualifying for the State Meet in both her Sophomore and Junior Seasons.

FUN FACT: Claire taught herself how to do a back flip!! We can wait to see it this upcoming season when she scores for the Vols!

Meet Squirrel White.

Coming to Knoxville from Birmingham, Alabama — Squirrel is a multi-sport athlete with electrifying speed at wide receiver. He was rated a four-star prospect and the No. 7 overall player in Alabama by On3.com and a three-star prospect by 247Sports.com, Rivals.com and ESPN.com.

Squirrel compiled 1,162 receiving yards on 49 catches and scored 17 total touchdowns, including 16 receiving as a senior and earned first-team All-South Metro honors in 2021, while leading his team to a 2021 Alabama High School Athletic Association 6A state football championship!!

Olivier Nkamhoua

Introducing Olivier Nkamhoua.
 
His smile lights up a room … his skills on the court light up TBA.
 
Olivier is originally from Helsinki, Finland. However, he played his High School basketball in Maryland at the Bishop Walsh School where he graduated in 2019. 
 
Olivier made an instant impact on Rocky Top providing a spark off the bench in 30 of 31 games during his freshman season. During his time at Tennessee, Olivier has made incredible strides as a player and was selected to play for the Finnish National Team in Okinawa, Japan in the summer of 2021. Following this experience, Olivier was named a starter for his Junior season. He flourished in this role and looks to build on it for his Senior campaign.
 
As a standout in the classroom, he was named a member of the 2020 SEC Academic Honor Roll. He was also a member of the 2022 SEC Tournament Champions.
 
We cannot wait for TBA to be rockin’ and see Olivier flourish as the Vols defend their 2022 SEC Tournament Champion title.

Tre Flowers

Introducing Tre Flowers.
 
Tre is an Atlanta native who attended Tucker High School where he was a standout in football, basketball, and baseball. He originally wanted to play college baseball and received multiple Division 1 offers. However, he chose to play football his Senior Year. This choice proved to be a great one. Using skills he learned from years of playing shortstop, Tre became a highly sought after safety and received offers from Tennessee, Clemson, and many others. Clearly, he chose the right shade of orange.
 
During his time on Rocky Top, he has been able to make a huge impact immediately. Over the last 2 seasons, he has been a leader in the secondary for the Vols and has appeared in 34 games and started in 24 of those. He shines in the classroom as much as on the field and was named a member of the 2020 SEC Academic Honor Roll. We cannot wait to see what the 2022 season has in store for Tre. He is a true joy to watch play and his passion is clear when he hits the field. Is it football season yet?!

Jake Fitzgibbons

Introducing Jake Fitzgibbons.

 A member of the world class pitching staff for the #1 ranked University of Tennessee Vols baseball team.

Jake played high school baseball at Mount Juliet High School in Mount Juliet, Tennessee and played club ball for Knights Baseball Platinum.

Some high school awards and honors include:
* Perfect Game No. 19 ranked player in Tennessee
* Perfect Game No. 79 ranked LHP in the nation
* 2020 Perfect Game Preseason All-America and All-Southeast Region selection
* 2019 Perfect Game Preseason Underclass All-America selection
* 2019 WWBA Grads/17U National Championship All-Tournament Team selection
* Helped his club team win the 2020 Perfect Game 18U World Series championship

In his freshman campaign at Tennessee, Jake made seven appearances and three starts as a true freshman. He started and threw one shutout inning vs. Eastern Kentucky,
Earned his first collegiate victory after throwing 3.1 shutout innings with a career-high four strikeouts in win over Western Carolina and made his first-career start in midweek game vs. Eastern Kentucky – allowing only one run in two inning. Jake made his collegiate debut in road game at Austin Peay.

As a sophomore at UT, he pitched a season high three innings and recorded four strikeouts in win over James Madison, recorded two strikeouts in one inning of relief against UNC Asheville and made his season debut in win against Georgia Southern – pitching a scoreless inning in relief. During this seasons he was a member of the 2022 SEC Regular Season and  Tournament Champions. 

Jake is not only a standout ON the field, but he also excels in the classroom which is evident from being named to the 2020-21 SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll.

Jake is majoring in Recreation and Sport Management at the University of Tennessee. He is the son of Scott and Mary Fitzgibbons, has one younger brother, Kyle – and enjoys duck hunting and golf when he isn’t playing ball.  

Tess darby

University of Tennessee, Basketball

 


Meet Tess Darby.

She is a native of Greenfield, Tennessee where she attended Greenfield High School. During her time there she was nothing short of amazing on and off the court. She led her team to an impressive 131-20 record over her 4 years  and the 2018 TSSAA State Championship. In the midst of this incredible run Tess was selected to 4 All-State teams, she was McDonald’s All-American Nominee, and was named of the top 100 recruits in the Nation for the 2020 class. Off the court she was recognized as a Tennessee Scholar, a Girls State Representative, and graduated top 10 in her class. 

Tess was Coach Kellie Harper’s first High-School signee. She was able to contribute in a big way early in her career on Rocky Top. During her sophomore campaign she started 30 games for the Lady Vols. Her ability to space the floor and knock down 3 point shots at a high rate was a huge help to her team as they made a run to the Sweet 16. Tess was also selected to the 20-21 SEC Academic Honor Roll. 

We cannot wait to see Tess back on the Hardwood this fall!

Christian Scott

Welcome to the Bridge family, Christian Scott
 
Meet Christian Scott. He is a native of Clarksville, Tennessee where he graduated from Rossview Highschool and helped lead his team to the 2018 TSSAA State Championship. During his prep career, he was a 3 time All State selection and was touted as one of the top 50 baseball players in the Nation. 
 
Christian made his debut in Orange and White for the BaseVols in 2019. Since then, Christian has been a constant for the Vols. He has made a number of notable appearances for the Vols including a big stolen base and RBI in the midst of series sweep in Nashville against Vanderbilt and series saving catch in extra innings in Gainesville. Christian was also a part of the 2022 SEC Baseball Championship team and made a trip to the 2021 College World Series during his time in Knoxville.
 
We cannot wait to see Christian Scott back on the diamond … Go Christian! Go Vols!
